Charlie Hubbs, ACSM, CSCS, CPT, SNS

Performance Trainer
ProActive Since 2023

My name is Charles (Charlie) Hubbs, and I am originally from Millstadt, IL – 30 minutes outside of St. Louis. I have come to Washington because my significant other, Jessica, has taken a wildlife biology position with the state of Washington. Within the health and fitness field I have occupied several roles, the most recent of which was being a cardiac rehab exercise physiologist for St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in O’Fallon, Illinois.

Outside of the hospital I have trained and taught individuals of all ages and abilities interested in anything general fitness and strength to weight loss to sports performance. In May of 2023 I completed my master’s in kinesiology; I also have a master’s in education and a bachelor’s in political science.

Growing up in the remote countryside of Illinois I have grown a love of the outdoors and sport; I have even been fortunate enough to play collegiate baseball at Lindenwood University. Outside of physical activity and the outdoors I also love to read, particularly philosophy. For me, training is a wholistic and cooperative endeavor that emphasizes functionality, accessibility, sustainability, and independence; and building relationships and being able to take part in peoples’ physical, mental, social, spiritual, etc. growth is the most rewarding part of my job.
