Kindra McDougall, DPT

Physical Therapist
ProActive Since 2018
Kindra grew up in Olympia and started her journey with ProActive observing as a highschooler and undergrad student. She completed her BS in Exercise Science Integrated Physiology with a double major in Business Administration at Pacific University in Forest Grove, OR. There she was awarded "Most Outstanding Student of Business Administration." Following undergraduate, she returned to ProActive for a clinical rotation and to work as an Aide. In 2018, she earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at George Fox University in Newberg, OR and worked at the Lacey ProActive for 1 year before moving to Oregon.
Kindra is now back in the Olympia area and is excited to be closer to family. She loves helping athletes and patients of all ages and skill levels but working with gymnasts, dancers, circus artists and cheerleaders is her favorite. She uses biomechanical analysis and her training in functional movement to create a whole body approach catered to each person's needs and learning style. She thrives on the opportunity to inspire others to be their best not only in their sport, but in life. Her goal is to educate her patients on the tools to maintain a healthy and pain free life.
As a physical therapist, she is certified in emergency medical response for the athlete and plans to one day become a sports certified specialist. She has paired this with continuing education courses in manual therapy techniques, myofascial release, joint mobilizations, and functional exercises. She is also well educated in treating hypermobility, EDS, and vertigo. She is a lifelong learner and is always seeking ways to grow and develop her skills to better help her patients.
In her free time, Kindra is a professional aerialist, partner acrobatic, and hand-balancer performing throughout the pacific northwest, working backstage as a physical therapist, and coaching other performers. She also enjoys spending time with family, game nights with friends, trying new foods, and adventuring in the great outdoors whether it's kayaking, mountain biking, or rock climbing.
