Robert Schmidt, DPT

Doctor of Physical Therapy, has been

with ProActive SportsMed for over three years. He is not only the director of the West Olympia clinic but treats patients full time. He has expertise in orthopedics, sports and advanced spine treatment. Robert shows his involvement with the community by participating in health fairs, high school athlete screenings and volunteer work with on-field injury management. He also emphasizes the importance of ergonomics in the workplace and overall fitness. He is an accomplished tri-athlete, competing in local, national and world championship triathalons. "I enjoy working with all types of patients, from chronic pain to sports injuries, from work related injuries to motor vehicle accidents. I want to help people get back to their previous state of health prior to their injury and teach them how to prevent injury in the future."

Melinda Donberger has worked for ProActive SportsMed for over three years. Initially she was a patient then later joined the team as a PT aide. Due to her excellent patient service skills and vibrant personality she has been promoted to the PT Aide Supervisor position. She enjoys working with patients assisting them with their exercise programs. When Melinda's not working she enjoys reading, boating and walking.

Kim Cronk is new to the team but considers this her ideal job. Having recently returned to the work force after spending fifteen years as a domestic engineer, she enjoys using her extensive customer service experience and learning new skills. She especially appreciates having "grown up" interaction that doesn't revolve around household chores! Kim doesn't have much spare time, but when she's not working she loves spending time with her family. As a former patient she will wholeheartedly attest to the quality of care you will receive and the fun you will have receiving it.
