What is a person's VO2 max and why is it important to test?

VO2 max stands for the maximum amount of oxygen that can be consumed and used by the muscles over a given amount of time.  Oxygen is what fuels muscle tissues, so it is important that the muscle is getting as much as it possibly can.  A trained muscle becomes very efficient at utilizing oxygen, and is then able to perform better. 

 

Our goal is to increase your VO2 max, which will thus enhance your performance.  Using the state of the art IMETT Fitness Ventilatory Threshold Analyzer, we are able to measure your current oxygen consumption thresholds and determine your individual needs for improving your fitness.  By testing your VO2 max, we are able to fine-tune your performance training with very scientific measures.
